NSW: Dance together for Peace, 27 - 28 March 2008
A group of young Cambodian dancers from the village of Tahen, in the province of Battambang, Northeast Cambodia, will tour Australia in late March and early April 2008. Tahen is a village that suffered much from the internal conflicts that plagued Cambodia for over thirty years and especially during the Khmer Rouge period. Their tour is being billed as the “Dance together for Peace” tour. The main purpose of the tour is to provide opportunities for young people from Cambodia and Australia to come together, share their culture and traditions as well as their life experiences. The dancers will be at St Ignatius College Riverview on March 27th (I'm going to this one) and St Aloysius' Milson's point on 28th of March. For further information please contact Sacha Bermudez-Goldman SJ on 0439 561 811 or email: sacha_goldman@hotmail.com
