Attend an Exhibition

400,000 dead, 3 million displaced, show your solidarity for the Darfur community now by attending an exhibition and seminar.

The Darfur Australia Network (DAN) will host a photo exhibition from June 16 to July 4 at Customs House, Circular Quay Sydney.  There will also be a seminar on the Crisis in Darfur at Customs House on Thursday June 28 - contact James Holman for more information 0409 520 882  jholman@adra.org.au

Attend a film Preview

To celebrate World Refugee Day, Caritas Australia, in partnership with Dendy Films, is offering our supporters around Australia tickets to preview screenings of Lucky Miles

Tickets are available on a strictly first come first serve basis so if you would like some tickets, send an email to: ozspirit@caritas.org.au

The screenings will take place at cinemas around Australia between July 13 and July 15 2007. Check your local paper for cinema locations and session times.

The Forgotten People’s project

On 17 October 2007, International Day for the eradication of Poverty, the Darfur Australia Network (DAN) will remember the forgotten people of Darfur.  Three million knotted squares of material, representing the three million displaced by this crisis, will be incorporated into a touring art instillation. But they need your help!!!
DAN are inviting schools and community groups to help remember the forgotten people of Darfur by collecting material and knotting squares to be added to this project.  An information pack will be sent to interested people. More...

Surviving in Darfur - Aisha's story

Thirty-three year old Aisha is a mother, farmer and an expert maker of palm mats. Over a year ago, Aisha's village was attacked - and she has been living in a temporary camp for internally displaced people (IDPs) ever since. People want to go home. Life in the camps of Darfur is not good, and they need peace.
