A petition calling for justice for David Hicks has been prepared by the Catholic Justice and Peace Commission of the Archdiocese of Adelaide. They are asking all Australians to consider taking action by supporting this petition. It concerns the plight of one Australian citizen. But it also pertains to the right of all Australians, indeed all people of the world, to natural justice and fundamental human rights in any jurisdiction. Show your support for the campaign to stop the spread of HIV and help to end prejudice by wearing a Red ribbon for World AIDS Day, 1st December. Wearing a ribbon is one of the easiest ways you can make a difference. 
Caritas Australia is an active participant in the global humanitarian response to HIV and AIDS. We are working closely with partners in Africa, Asia, the Pacific and Latin America to help individuals, families and communities as they struggle through the physical, economic, social and emotional devastation the epidemic can cause. But we can not do it alone. 
If you read any book this year read ‘Kevin's Questions' by Miles Roston. It is the heart warming story of the journey taken by Kevin, an aids orphan, to find answers to the most urgent and difficult questions of his life. It is incredibly moving, thought provoking and inspiring. 
What motivates and inspires someone to volunteer their time and energy to advocate and stand up for those who are less fortunate than us?
