“I especially pray for the widows, the orphans, the young mothers and all those whose lives have been shattered by this cruel epidemic. I urge you to continue your efforts to fight this virus which not only kills but seriously threatens the economic and social stability of the Continent.”
Pope Benedict XVI addressing the Bishops of South Africa during their Ad Limina visit, June 10, 2005

HELP CARITAS AUSTRALIA TO TACKLE HIV/AIDS ON ALL LEVELS
Caritas Australia is an active participant in the global humanitarian response to HIV and AIDS. We are working closely with partners in Africa, Asia, the Pacific and Latin America to help individuals, families and communities as they struggle through the physical, economic, social and emotional devastation the epidemic can cause. But we can not do it alone.
We need your help to ensure that we can continue to deliver a dignified life to those impacted by HIV/AIDS.

BOOK REVIEW: ‘Kevin's Questions'
If you read any book this year read ‘Kevin's Questions' by Miles Roston. It is the heart warming story of the journey taken by Kevin, an aids orphan, to find answers to the most urgent and difficult questions of his life. It is incredibly moving, thought provoking and inspiring.
This story helps us to understand the effects of AIDS on an entire generation and how far a little love and thought can go towards changing a life. It also gives us an insight into how leaders in Africa and the world are responding to this issue, sometimes successfully and sometimes disastrously.
