Returning to South Sudan
Thousands of refugees are currently returning to the war-torn south of Sudan hoping to restore a way of life that was violently taken away from them.

Caritas increases assistance to Sudan
Caritas Australia has committed another $250,000 to the Sudan crisis to assist a growing number of internally displaced people in Darfur.

Response to Haiti disaster
Caritas Australia has pledged $30,000 to the people of Haiti, suffering as a result of the recent "Hurricane Jeanne" landslide tragedy. The agency's immediate response will go towards providing 2,000 families across the country with food and non-food items including kitchen utensils, sleeping bags, tents, medicine, chlorine and clean drinking water.
